Welcome to "More People Like Us", a [something something] sort of travel blog.
For those interested in the past (who is? *cough *dust) I used to blog as the Jabberlope, but now you can find me here most days..
Here's some fancy prose, culture, and commentary filters, if that's what you're looking for...
Also, if you want to see updates in your Facebook stream, join up here.
(It only hurts the first time...)
I go by jabberlope on Twitter...

I’ve never been too big a Franzen fan, and this seems to point to why. I guess I’ll stick to reading explosive sound bites rather than burying myself in the deep end of “Freedom” and not coming up for air.

The answer to this is very simple. It was a joke. It had to be a number, an
ordinary, smallish number, and I chose that one. Binary representations,
base thirteen, Tibetan monks are all complete nonsense. I sat at my desk,
stared into the garden and thought ‘42 will do’ I typed it out. End of story.Best,
Douglas Adams

I was always learning to forget what I had learned before, but if that isn’t a truth I had learned about life the hard way then I don’t know what is.
